Organization in Seoul on 29 November - by the CDES in cooperation with the ILO - of an international symposium on social dialogue with representatives of the ILO, members of AICESIS, employers' organizations, unions and the Korean government.

Participation of the SG in the GA of UCESA. On this occasion, Dr Boulkassom HAIDARA, President of the Mali CESC and acting President of UCESA, has appointed Mr CHEICKNA BARRY, SG of the Mali CESC, as Deputy SG of AICESIS for Africa.

On October 10-11, 2017 in Bamako (Mali) the UCESA GA was held on "Environment and security". The members appointed Dr Boulkassom HAIDARA, President of the Mali CESC, Acting President of the UCESA, for 2 years after Ms. TALL, President of the ESEC of Senegal.




The ILO, AICESIS and the OKE of Greece organise an international conference on "Social Dialogue and the Future of Work",  in Athens, on November 23-24, 2017.  The event will bring together the Prime Minister, representatives of the Greek Governement, of ESC-SIs, the World Bank, IOE, ITUC, OECD,

The aim of the conference is to examine the main drivers of change affecting the world of work today and to identify the actions that ESC-SIs can take in order to shape the future of work in a manner that will best serve the interests of employers, workers and society at large.



The ESC has had a rich recent activity, including the adoption of a new act on vocational education and training.

On 20 July in New York (United States), the President of the Guinean ESC spoke to the UN ECOSOC high-level segment to present the AICESIS report on "Eradicating Poverty and Promoting Prosperity in a Changing World".

On 9 June in Geneva (Switzerland), the OKE of Greece, Rapporteur, took the floor on behalf of AICESIS at the International Labor Conference to present the AICESIS report on "Labor Migration Flows".

Regional workshop organized in cooperation with AICESIS, ILO and the ESC of Benin on the capacity building of ESCs-SIs and social dialogue to promote an efficient and sustainable social protection floor for all. This is the extension of the Seoul Declaration (2014) at the West African level and the national workshops held previously in Congo, Guinea and Mali.
