Meeting between the ILO and the AICESIS general secretariat 

On 5 February, 2018 the CC held a conference on ‘Social and Economic Inequality as a Global Challenge of our Time’. The European ESC delegation, headed by the President Mr Dassis took part in it.

Since February 12, a general strike paralyzes pre-university education in Guinea. Faithful to its values of peace and dialogue, the ESC has been deeply involved in seeking ways and means to overcome the crisis. President Hadja Rabiatou Serah Diallo has supported mediation initiatives such as the new dynamics of Guinean civil society broadened to the Republican institutions. She actively participated in reflexion that led to the publication of three statements. Following the meeting between the President of the Republic and the strikers, negotiations began on unionists’ request.
