Best practices
The Economic and Social Council is a constitutional consultative assembly of the nation’s economic and social forces from the socio-professional organizations, associations and the civil society. It is in charge, through its view and recommendations, of enlightening the President of the Republic and the Board of the Parliament on socio-economic problems as well as reforms, which seem conform or in contrary to the general interest. It puts a lot of time and effort into the promotion of social dialogue in order to maintain peace in times of crisis. The ESC maintains also good relationships with other institutions of the Republic and with European and African similar Institutions.
