While 6 million French are food insecure, the promotion of a food model and gastronomic traditions against the strategy of standardization of products and tastes, strengthening social ties, including family, health security; the fight against waste or vitality, economic sectors generating numerous jobs and enrolling in a perspective of sustainable development of territories, must be priorities. The importance of these issues has led the Economic, Social and Environmental Council to address the issue of power in all its aspects, in an opinion entitled "Promoting access for all to quality food, healthy and balanced" . The recommendations of this review of the Section for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food chaired by EESC Joseph Giroud (Agriculture Group) were presented by the rapporteur Thierry Damien (UNAF Group). The notice was passed on January 28 unanimously in plenary.
