On 15 and 16 September 2016 in Cotonou (Benin) the AICESIS General Assembly will be held, preceded by a Board meeting on 14 September. The GA will be an opportunity to hold three debates: one on the main working topic of the presidency for 2015-2017 "The role of ESCs-SIs in the fight against inequalities linked to poverty", a workshop co-organized with the ILO on "social protection floor: situation and prospects", and an exchange of experiences on "the ESCs-SIs daily functioning”.

The last people wishing to attend the AICESIS Summer School for Youth (3-9 September 2016; Algiers, Algeria) must urgently send their application to .

ECOSOC working group: « Implementing the post 2015 development agenda: moving from commitment to results ». The ESC of Benin, working group rapporteur, drafted the second note that has been sent on 21 April to all for comment by the beginning of June.

Capacity building workshop for the ESCC of Mali on " Capacity building of the ESC and social dialogue for an efficient and sustainable social protection floor ", in cooperation with the ESCC of Mali and the ILO.

The ESC has signed the Seoul Declaration in November 2014 on the implementation of a sustainable social protection floor for all through effective social dialogue and broad participation. The ESC wished to deepen at the national level, as the first training session organized in early July 2015 for the Congolese ESC members. This workshop was organized in cooperation with the ILO and AICESIS. Following this workshop, Recommendations and Roadmap for CES were adopted.

A seminar was co-organized on 31 May in Phnom Penh (Cambodia) by the CDES of Korea and the Ministry of Labour of Cambodia on the promotion of social dialogue in Cambodia and the exchange of national experiences. The seminar brought together 90 participants from unions, employers' organizations and government. The question of accession to the AICESIS was part of the discussion as possible measures to promote social dialogue in the country. The Cambodian Ministry has set up an advisory tripartite body, Labour Advisory Committee.

A delegation of the CDES of Korea visited from 20 to 22 June the Ministry of Labour of Sri Lanka, which set up a Consultative Labour Council as a tripartite advisory body. On this occasion, AICESIS and the possible membership of the tripartite body were discussed with the Ministry of Labour of Sri Lanka.

At the invitation of Dr. Martha Theodorou, AICESIS Chargée de Mission in communication, the ESEC of France drafted a note on the national social dialogue.
