GA in Moscow Amends Articles of the Association

The AICESIS General Assembly session held in Moscow on November 1, 2023, new Articles of the Association were adopted. The new text of the document was unanimously supported by all participants of the session.

As part of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation's presidency of AICESIS, a large-scale initiative to update the Articles of the Association was launched in December 2021. The purpose of this expert work was to improve operational efficiency and strengthen the internal structure of the Association, to enhance interaction between its members and attract new member states, as well as to make AICESIS more recognizable and build up its authority at the international level.

A specially created Working Group, which included representatives from Benin, China, France, Greece, Guatemala, Luxembourg, Mali, Russia, Spain, and the Union of Economic and Social Councils of Africa (UCESA), spent two years improving and modernizing the document to align it with modern realities. The work resulted in a balanced and transparent text, harmonized with modern requirements and standards, which suits the current goals and objectives of AICESIS.
