LATIN AMERICA AND THE CARIBBEAN REGIONAL WEBINAR "CES / EST'S ROLE IN COVID 19 RECOVERY

On November 19, 2020, a webinar was organized for the exchange of experiences between ESCs / SIs from Latin America and the Caribbean regarding the work carried out on the socio-economic effects of Covid 19 in this region.

In addition to these exchanges, presentations were made on general activities concerning these issues developed by AICESIS and the ILO. Likewise, the ILO presented its analysis of the post-pandemic socio-economic situation in the region. The debates highlighted the existence of a health and socio-economic crisis, different from those known until now, diversified in its effects and with a succession of stages with different characteristics which highlighted the importance anti-crisis actions to be developed in a variety of fields and policies, taking into account these risks.

Throughout all of this, the importance of exchanges and cooperation at regional and international levels has been confirmed and the role that social dialogue must play in the design of policies has been highlighted.
