On March 30, the third of the regional webinars on the socio-economic effects of the pandemic and the role of social dialogue councils and institutions in stimulus measures took place.
On November 19, 2020, a webinar was organized for the exchange of experiences between ESCs / SIs from Latin America and the Caribbean regarding the work carried out on the socio-economic effects of Covid 19 in this region.
On February 23, 2021, a webinar for the African ESC-SIs took place on the exchange of experiences of the socio-economic effects of the pandemic, socio-political responses and the role of social dialogue institutions in this area.
On September 16, AICESIS, UCESA and UCESIF organized the webinar "Socio-economic effects of Covid19 in the perspective of the SDGs", which was attended by the Deputy Secretary General for the coordination of policies and interagency affairs of the Department of Economic Affairs and the United Nations, Ms. Spatolisano and Mr. Dorel, Acting Head of the DESA NGO branch.
The webinar allowed for an exchange of experiences of AICESIS members on the socio-economic effects of the pandemic, the measures adopted to reduce these effects and the role of social dialogue on these issues.
For their part, the UN representatives presented the actions for implementing the SDGs and the role played by the Acceleration Actions (AA). This information was deemed to be of great interest by the members of AICESIS, given the coincidence between many actions developed by the Economic and Social Councils and the SDGs, as well as the possibility of integrating exchanges of experiences. to AICESIS in the field of AA.
