The International Association of Economic and Social Councils and Similar Institutions (AICESIS) was established in July 1999 in Port Louis, Mauritius. It is a Dutch-law association headquartered in Brussels, Belgium.
It includes various institutions from 72 countries on four continents: Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, Asia, and Europe.
