Information note on the SG-OIT online meeting of 27/1/2021

During the meeting of Board members on December 17, the situation of OIT-AICESIS cooperation was analyzed, with the participation of the director of the social dialogue department, Mr. Ghellab.

During the meeting, special attention was devoted to activities related to the exchange of experiences on the socio-economic effects of Covid19.

These would include examples of webinars such as the one already developed for the Latin America and Caribbean region, and those that were being organized in the coming months, as well as the holding, in accordance with the provisions of the cooperation agreement with the ILO , a joint biannual conference.

Currently, preparations for the webinars in the African and Eurasian regions are already underway (indicative, end of February and March). For this reason, it can be expected that the content of these meetings will provide good information on the criteria and activities of the CES / SI regarding the socio-economic effects of the pandemic in the different regions, which could be used at the next conference jointly. with the ILO.
